About the site

Ex Uno Plures was founded in March 2007 by members of the Fen Group. Its original location was maede.karitas.net, which still holds some of our older pages. We had grown frustrated with people's misconceptions of plurality, and wanted to add our own voice to plural activism, and Ex Uno Plures was born from that. By the end of 2007, the articles numbered into the tens. Unfortunately, problems with our host's account caused us to be unable to update Ex Uno Plures at karitas.net, so we briefly moved to maede.zensenbutai.com. Offline issues interfered with site development, unfortunately.  It was only in September 2008 that we were able to move to our own domain, exunoplures.info, and finally put our older articles up.

Ex Uno Plures' articles cover many aspects of plurality, although the site's focus is on the acceptance of plurality as a valid neurological variation. Most articles focus on stereotyping and models of plurality that treat it as a pathology. There is also a number of articles that focus on divisions within the plural community, and how they are detrimental to our cause.

Our webmaster is Kerry Dawkins. She takes care of the organisation of articles and graphic design. Kerry's assistant is Darwin Ghia-Wilberforce, who takes care of the technical side of things.

About the design

We have a tendency of experimenting with site design, and for the relaunch of Ex Uno Plures, we went for an ostentatious, Eighties-inspired layout. The text was reminiscent of the ubiquitous Seventies and Eighties neon logos. (Think 5th and 6th Doctor-era Doctor Who opening titles, or The Electric Company, or similar.) After we grew tired of the Eighties design, we opted for an old-fashioned, classic look. The following design was based upon a journal layout we had found for our Dreamwidth account. Plurality Walkthrough pages use a floral design to distinguish themselves from the rest of Ex Uno Plures' content.
